The Shirley Earring is named for Shirley Chisholm who spent her life breaking political barriers with both race and gender. In 1968, Chisholm became the first black woman elected to the U.S. Congress, representing New York’s 12th District for seven terms from 1969 to 1983. What a pioneer and an endlessly daring woman!
Some of the colors of these earrings are limited edition--that means that once these are gone there will be no more made in that particular color palette.

Because this product is handmade color and texture may vary slightly from what you see on your screen. This item is made by a human and not a machine so expect some inconsistencies and flaws. After all, our imperfections are why makes us beautiful!
Clay is fragile so treat with care. If your clay jewelry is dropped or anything heavy is set on top of it, it can break. We recommend storing your Hey Grl Hey Jewelry in a safe place when it is not being worn.
Raw brass may tarnish or darken over time if exposed to water or oils from the skin, the pieces can be easily cleaned with a soft jewelry cloth and/or tarnish remover.
